Two people,
one workshop.
Arch & Linden is Jonas Archer and Maren Linden — partners in marriage first, and in the workshop since 2018.
Jonas trained as a cabinetmaker and spent six years building sets and architectural millwork before going out on his own. Maren came from interior design, and still leads every project's planning and client relationships. Together they cover the full distance from first sketch to final delivery.
The studio name borrows a piece of each of their last names — less a brand exercise, more a record of how the business actually started: two people combining what they knew.
What we believe about furniture.
Most furniture today is built to a price point, not a lifespan. We think that trade-off is backwards. A piece built from solid wood, joined properly, and finished simply will outlast the trends it was bought during — and look better for it. That's the only kind of furniture we make.
A one-car garage in Colorado Springs
Jonas builds the studio's first commissioned piece — a walnut dining table for a friend's wedding gift — on a borrowed table saw.
The current workshop
Arch & Linden moves into its first proper shop space and Maren joins full-time, taking over design and client work.
First built-in commission
A built-in library project — the same approach later used for Oak Library — marks the studio's move into architectural millwork.
A handful of commissions a year
We've kept the studio intentionally small, taking on only as many projects as we can give real attention to.
